On Saturday, June 20th, a hundred of participants had answered at the invitation of the association " Les Amis de Christian Vanneste " which organised in the living rooms of the hotel Altia to Neuville in Ferrain (north) a conference - debate on topic: Justice today enlivened by Philippe Bilger, Advocate-General near the Court of appeal of Paris.

Around Christian Vanneste, deputy the North, around Brigitte Lherbier, general Advisor from the North, Christian Desmet, deputy mayor of Neuville in Ferrain, G rald Darmanin and Jean mayor Vuylsteker, Town councillors of Tourcoing, Philippe Bilger expressed its feeling on French and justice. Just after the disaster of Outreau, the Advocate-General, known for its freedom of thought and of expression, calls it to a judicial renewal. His intervention was guided by a double ambition:

That first, not to escape the analysis of problems and of riot which affects judicial functioning by leaving the distraught citizen: slowness of justice in the daily, responsibility too much reduced by the magistrates, heavy corporatism, defect of humanity, perverse report with policies, structures and institution, everything passes to it and without kindness.

That, also, to give again hope to the magistracy and enthusiasm to the judges. For Philippe Bilger, it is time that the judicial world goes out of a continuous complaint and goes back to a will and a positive impetus. Justice must be in the service of the citizen. His honour is at this price.

About the balance sheet of Rachida Dati, he thinks that he is completely creditable. She respected in the letter the programme which had been fixed to it by the President of the Republic, Nicolas Sarkozy, and that Philippe Bilger approves at least in his principle.

Having answered very many questions of the public, he dedicated his last work Feeling and of right (available in bookshop) in who Philippe Bilger approaches topics with complete freedom that his man's sensitivity, his curiosity of lighted citizen, his passion of magistrate and his polemicist's talent one encouraged to put in the public.
